Today we are going to go see the slums. So the slums are a place where all the poor people live. 50% of the population of Mumbai lives in the slums. Visiting them is a really popular thing that travellers do when going to India. We made our way there and had our guide lead us into the slums. She was very nice and since she lives in the slums, she knew what she was talking about. On the way, we had to cross the roads, and the driving is crazy. We almost died. Then, once there, it was very cool. They have their own warehouse where they build everything themselves with only their hands from recycled items. Like a factory. It’s very interesting but it was also very hot and the smell was pretty bad. The shower was necessary after the tour. We ordered room service since we had to go to bed very early cause at midnight we were all gonna have to wake up to catch our next flight.
Ce matin, on a manger au buffet avant d’aller pour notre visite des “slums” indiens. Le “slum” c’est des travailleurs donc pas nécessairement pauvre. Les passages sont vraiment petits et il y a beaucoup de poubelles, mais c’est cool. Après le tour on a soupé dans notre chambre d’hôtel pour ce coucher tôt avant notre vol de nuit.
